Gear Effort Testing System ATS-P204

SushmaTM Gear lever effort testing system, consists of the dual/tri axes gear effort sensor, fixture and a display unit(optional). The Gear Effort Sensor is fixed onto the gear lever either directly to the moulded shifter knob or to the bare lever itself through threaded fixtures. When the load is applied by hand or through a machine the force is measured in x & y directions. Tri-axes sensor is used when you want to measure the force required to engage the reverse gear or other features in construction/heavy machinery.



  • Models available: ATS-P204A to measure ‘x’ & ‘y’ forces and ATS-P204B to measure ‘x’, y’ and ‘z’ forces
  • Sensor mounts directly (replacing the gear shifter knob) or indirectly with a shift gripper adopter
  • Compact and light weight, making them easy to install and remove
  • Since the forces to be measured on the gear shifters are different and varies from a car to a heavy goods vehicle, for ergonomics to fatigue testing- Sushma offers different measurement ranges from 50 N to 2kN
  • Operates on 7.4 V Li rechargeable batteries. Battery life 14 hours in completely charged condition
  • Customised pre-programmed testing sequences are possible on request based on shifting and engaging pattern
